Sales Leads: Maximize Your Sales With Longer-Term Sales Leads
Want to learn how capture and nurture three-quarters of the sales lead market through effective communication efforts?
Whoa, you must first learn to slow down. Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? Well, the same lessons learned from this fable can be applied to your everyday business-to-business sales lead marketing efforts.
While business-to-business marketers race to snatch up the most promising and qualified short-term prospects that come in from any marketing-lead-generation initiative, nearly three-quarters of the sales leads that can convert to sales are being heavily ignored.
Why? Because salespeople are measured and paid for winning the race for short-term sales, usually causing them to focus on the easy sales opportunities and to ignore the longer term prospects. Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsLooking to family history for housecleaning goals – Part 1
I’m not alone, I know I’m not, I have just walked in to my kitchen and despaired, now when I say despair I suppose I should qualify that by giving you some idea of the level of mess in my house at the moment. The kitchen is the root of the problem, it resembles more the seventh circle of hell than a productive family room! I have a pretty busy life, I work full time and raise four children single handed, what I should do is admit defeat and hire a cleaner, I just wasnt raised that way. I was brought up by the original domestic goddess herself. My Grandmother brought up seven children, during whose lifetime a world war Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsIron Casting
Iron casting
Cast iron generally means grey cast iron, but is identifies a group of ferrous alloys which solidify with a eutectic.
Overview:
Iron accounts for more than 95% the alloy material, while the main alloying elements are carbon and silicon. The amount of carbon in cast iron is 2.1-4% while ferrous alloys with less carbon are called carbon steel by definition. Cast iron has appreciable amount of silicon normally 1.3%. Therefore, these alloys should be considered ternary Fe-C-Si alloys.
In spite of this, the principles of cast iron solidification are understood from the binary iron carbon phase diagram, where the eutectic point lies at 1154 °C and 4.3 wt% carbon. Because cast iron has this composition, Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsKiawah and Seabrook Islands South Carolina
Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. are located a beautiful 15 mile, 30 minute drive from historic Charleston South Carolina! When you get to the ocean, there is a large ’round-about’ and you go left to get to Kiawah and right to go to Seabrook! They are right next to each other. There is a very nice shopping area right at the roundabout with a high-end grocery (but good prices) coffee shops, antique stores, book stores, etc where you can easily spend an afternoon just walking around and shopping.
Both islands have many options for renting. You can rent a ‘villa’ which is like a condominium in a building, usually 2-4 stories tall, Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsCar games to occupy kids while driving – Part 1
We all know how horrific road trips with children can be, especially the long trips. I remember one road trip in particular when my dad was so frustrated with the restless kids. By the time we made it to a lunchtime pit stop he threw his hamburger out the window, that he thought was open, but was not. The hamburger, with all the toppings, slid down the glass, and my sister and I knew we were in trouble and in for a long road trip.
If my parents knew a way to keep me and my sister entertained, and not on my dads last nerve with our restless complaints, the trip would have been much better for Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsThe relevance of Platos image of the cave in The Republic for modern readers
First, a short summary of the “Cave Simile”, from Plato’s masterwork “The Republic”. In this dialogue, Socrates attempts to explain the meaning of justice; in this passage, he accomplishes this via a simile, a short fictional story with a message behind it. He asks us to imagine a cave with two people inside. These men are tied to stakes which force them to constantly face forward into the cave (their backs are to the cave opening). They cannot move or see anything apart from the cave wall. Now, Socrates said, the floor of the cave is sloped, in such a manner that the mouth of the cave is higher than its interior (where the men are tied up). A fire Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsHow books affect children – Part 13
Books affect children in many different ways. For some children, when they read a book, it takes them to a whole new world. A world where they can use their imaginations and pretend to be whoever the main character in the story is. My little brother loves to read mystery’s. He likes to try to solve the mystery before he can finish the book, but in his mind he is thinking like a detective. Did I mention that he is fifteen years old. No matter what age you are, you are still going to use that imagination of yours, at some point in time.
Reading books provides such an active role to a young child’s imagination. If you sit back and Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsThe Benefits of Computer Games for Children
Computer Game industry has become one of the fastest- growing industries in the world. However, it also rises up various opinions of both its benefits and detriments for players, especially for children. Most of the adults whose children play computer-games think that there are more detriments than benefits with these games. Yet, a survey in UK showed that games help children a lot in studying and improving their skills in life.
During the survey, teachers, doctors and scientists were joining in the project and they all found that games give children many chances to express themselves, practice their skills and gain experience in solving the problems.
Nearly 90% of children from 11- 16 years old who Read the rest of this entry »
