Poetry: Humorous poems for children – Part 7

THE FLUFFY CAROUSEL

small furry animals down in the dale

taking a ride on Ferdys fox tail.

queuing in order to jump on his brush

to be swirled around in a bit of a rush.

Ronnie the rabbit was waiting in line

when Freddie the ferret fell the fist time,

Harriet hare, though, so prim and proper

was eating an ice-cream and it was a whopper.

Bertie badger came out of his hollow to see

the fun and the frolics, the forest all giggly.

Harry hedgehog smoothed down his spiny sharp bristles

because Mother had told him they stung just like thistles,

all the animals were hungry and Ollie owl cooed out,

now eat up your greens, be good kids, or I,ll shout…..

Product reviews: Xbox 360 hard drive – Part 1

After having bought more than once console and then found out almost immediately that I needed to buy a twenty dollar memory card in order to really be able to use it I was sold on the idea of the hard drive from the moment I heard about it, but the Xbox hard drive is far more important than the simple memory card that I thought of first.

There are several sizes of hard drive and deciding which to use isn’t all that difficult. If price doesn’t matter get the largest but otherwise most of the smaller ones will work. Saved games don’t take up much room at all, and twenty gigabytes of music should be more than enough, that leaves Read the rest of this entry »

Thanksgiving party games for children – Part 1

Children often become quite bored at large family dinners. As the children tire the louder and more dispruptive they become, often leaving the host or hostess a nervous wreck and causing cooking errors before the meal makes its debut at the table.

A great way to keep the children attending these events occupied and happy is to surprise them with party games which include prizes. Few children are not drawn to the quarter and fifty cent machines which sell token toys, stickers, and jewelry they see while out shopping with adults. Though these little tokens are worthless to an adult, they can be great treasure in the eyes of a child. The first step in Read the rest of this entry »

Creative ideas of what to write in a thank you card

A Thank you card should be airy and free form written and not just another stuffy card. Many people enjoy receiving a Thank you card and it is also known as common good manners to send as well as receive one .I have a Creator card Cd that came with some of my computer Cds and it is from Hallmark and is simple to use offline and makes any kind of card you wish to create. But many people like myself will go buy a card in the spur of the moment just to get it over in a hurry. And when I have the time I will sit down an create several cards to be used as well. Are video game prices too high? – Part 1

I believe that some video game prices are too high, yes. In fact, most are, but some are about right for what they deliver. I have seen games go for as high as $60 and as low as $5 (though that $5 one was for a game that was fairly old, used, and it really wasn’t all that great to boot!), but the average (at least for PS2 games, which is where my pricing scale comes from) seems to be around $40 to $50 new. Console prices on the other hand are ridiculous these days. Last time I checked, the price of the PS3 was somewhere around $500 to $550 and all you get is the Read the rest of this entry »

Is the designer tag more important than the price of clothing for your kid?

First, I’ll go ahead and get this out of the way; I love clothes, I love beautiful clothes and have since I was a child. No, the brand didn’t matter, it was the quality of the clothing, and I hate to tell you, but more expensive clothing usually is made from finer materials, and has better workmanship, even if it is by a machine. People that think a wool sweater from Wal-Mart, feels the same as a 100% cashmere sweater are either lying to themselves, or have never felt a 100% cashmere sweater. But, that’s adults who have stopped growing and if they want to spend their cash on expensive clothes, they have ever right to.

Alright, that Read the rest of this entry »

Time management for students

Are you an active student? Do you often have to struggle with time to make sure you get places without being late? Well, I believe that schools are often too hard on students.

I myself, am in many different activites outside of school, or, extra curricular activities. This can sometime be a very hectic thing. I am involved in soccer, track, the highschool musical, marching band, and music festivals. Soccer is very tough to fit in with musical. You have to keep your grades above a “C” average in order to play instead of going to tutoring. This can be extremely difficult. Often, soccer games are over at about 7:00 pm and that is when musical practice starts. The Read the rest of this entry »
